The head of Mordovia held a number of working meetings in Minsk

On March 6,the Head of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov, arrived in the Republic of Belarus on aworking trip. The head of Mordovia held a number of working meetings in Minsk.

TheRepublic of Belarus is one of the largest trading partners of Mordovia. Morethan 60 enterprises of Mordovia maintain trade and economic relations withBelarus. The republic buys a lot of agricultural, construction and roadequipment from Belarusian manufacturers, and supplies products manufactured atenterprises in the region.

Mordoviaaims to further strengthen cooperation, develop cooperative ties, and launchjoint projects. As a result of the business mission of the Republic of Mordoviato Belarus in October 2025, a cooperation agreement was signed between theBrest Electric Lamp Plant and the A.N. Lodygin Research Institute, the LeaderCompound and the Polymir plant, Stankostroitel and the Osipovichi Plant ofTransport Engineering, the Technopark of Mordovia and the National IntellectualProperty Center of Belarus.

The Head ofMordovia met with Alexander Starovoitov, Deputy Minister of Health of theRepublic of Belarus, in Minsk. Issues related to the development of cooperationin the pharmaceutical industry were discussed. They discussed options for thesupply of medicines from Promomed pharmaceutical company to Belarus, thepossibility of localizing our drugs according to the "full cycle"scheme at the Belmedpreparaty production site, as well as holding trainingseminars for Belarusian healthcare professionals in the field of the latestmethods of diabetes treatment.

Meetingswere also held with the management of two large enterprises in Belarus - theBrest Electric Lamp Plant and the Atlant Household Appliance Plant. The issuesof strengthening industrial cooperation were discussed. Both companiescooperate with the A.N. Lodygin Research Institute of Technology, whichproduces products that meet the highest international standards.
