THE DEVELOPMENT OF MORDOVIA'S SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE WAS DISCUSSED AT THE HOUSE OF THE REPUBLIC
The development of Mordovia's special economic zone was discussed at the House of the Republic. During the meeting, a prospective development plan for the SEZ for the next 10 years was presented.
Currently, two residents have started operations in the special economic zone: industrial resident NK-Industriya LLC and Zavod svetovykh priborov LLC (Lighting Fixtures Plant). Three more are undergoing registration procedures and are in the process of developing projects.
In total, agreements have been reached for the implementation of investment projects with 12 potential residents, totaling over 37 billion rubles in investments and the creation of more than 1,140 new jobs. These projects include the production of medical glass, equipment in the hydrogen technology and energy sector, “container factories” for small-tonnage chemicals, and several others.
According to the Press Service of the Head of the Republic of Mordovia, participants at the meeting discussed mechanisms for attracting personnel to the special economic zone. Targeted training of specialists in universities and vocational education institutions of the republic will focus on fields such as engineering specialties and CNC machine operators.
