MORDOVIA IS AMONG THE BEST REGIONS IN THE COUNTRY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED BUSINESSES
Mordovia is showing a good increase in the number of SMEs. According to the latest data, the number of SMEs has already exceeded 24.5 thousand. The number of individual entrepreneurs continues to grow as well. Currently, there are over 18.2 thousand in the region, and the number of legal entities has exceeded 6.2 thousand.
Self-employment is gaining popularity rapidly. Thanks to the support of the national project, more than 25.8 thousand people in Mordovia are already engaged in this type of activity, and the number of people involved in the SME sector has exceeded 106.8 thousand.
Maintaining good development rates in the SME sector in the region is supported by various types of assistance for small and medium-sized businesses, including both financial and non-financial aid. In this regard, the republic is among the best in the country.
It is worth noting that, according to recent data, the number of SMEs in Russia has set a new record, exceeding 6.5 million, breaking the record since they began being tracked. At the same time, the number of self-employed individuals has reached 10.2 million.
Since the beginning of 2024, last year's trend of increasing the number of entrepreneurs has continued. By the end of 2023, the number of SMEs had grown to 6.35 million, an increase of 5.9% compared to 2022.
