An office of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been opened in Saransk
In Saransk, at the premises of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Mordovia, the office of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan was inaugurated. This marks a new stage in the development of relations between Mordovia and Kazakhstan.
“We thank the leadership of Mordovia for supporting this initiative, for their openness to cooperation and the warm attitude towards Kazakhstan, which is strongly felt in your republic,” said Dauren Abaev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation, at the opening ceremony. “For Kazakhstan, Russia has been and remains a key strategic partner and a reliable ally. I am confident that the activities of the newly opened office will help expand business and humanitarian ties, as well as assist in addressing practical issues. There is also historical depth in our relations — the Mordovian ethnocultural community in Kazakhstan numbers around 8 000 people. This is a living bridge of friendship, mutual understanding and respect between our peoples. I am sure that the office will become an effective platform for new initiatives and useful undertakings.”
Artyoм Zdunov, Head of the Republic of Mordovia, expressed confidence that the opening of the office of the honorary consul of a neighbouring state in Saransk would help businesses launch new joint projects.
“We have already established strong bilateral ties,” stated Artyoм Zdunov. “Over the past few years, our trade turnover has doubled. Kazakhstan holds a stable leading position in our exports. We are currently preparing a business mission of the Republic of Mordovia to Kazakhstan and are working closely with the management of enterprises and ministries.”
